PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THEM


These are the rules that RTK Staff expects you to respect and follow. Failure to do so will result in a warning and/or punishment. This IS a living document. More rules and regulations will be added and changed as time goes on; check the topic title to see the last update date.

Staff, should you feel that something needs to be changed, please point it out and I'll correct the error. Similarly, if there any contradictions or objections.

Together we can perpetually improve this thread.

Important Information: RTK Staff will NEVER ask for your password. If a person asks you for a password, they could be trying to impersonate a member of staff. This is against the rules and you should take a screenshot and report this person by Private Messaging a member of staff listed here.

Clarification on Arena points: Arena points are updated once a week on a Friday Evening. Those eligible for points have played a minimum of 10 Arena games that week; have contributed to at least 30% of the team's games played and their Personal Rating is within 150 of the Team Rating. The amount of arena points awarded to a team is dependant on their team rating and NOT how many games played.

1 ---GENERAL---

1.1 The official language in this server is English, usage of another language in the public channels (/world or /LookingForGroup etc.) is forbidden. Please use the whisper system to interact with other players in your home language.

1.2 Excessive swearing in public channels will result in a ban; remember we have young players on here too.

1.3 Do not settle your disputes in the General, LookingforGroup, or any other public channel. We understand you won't get along with everyone and if you absolutely must put in a few words use /whisper (rule 1.7 is an exception).  If you still can't settle your personal problems and keep being harassed by any other play, please refer to GM.

1.4 Using CAPSLOCK is considered being exceptionally rude so please refrain from using it all the time.

1.5 Using any kind of cheats, hacks or any third-party software that alter or interfere with the server in any way and/or provides a player with an advantage over others is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate IP ban.

1.6 Bug exploiting is illegal, no matter if you realize your exploit.  This also includes terrain exploition.  If you find a bug that can give players an advantage over the game please report it to a GM immediately. If there isn't a GM online ether post a GM Ticket or report it on the forums.
1.7 Do not enter, travel to, teleport into , or occupy a Banned Area and/or Zone.  Banned zones will be listed Here.
1.8 You must name your characters and guilds appropriately. Naming guidelines should be followed those described here. Attempts at circumventing inappropriate words by any means using the following but not limited to: syllable swapping, rhyme, deliberate mis-spellings with clear connotations or reference to inappropriate words cannot serve as an excuse. You will be forced a name change should you not abide by this rule.

2 --- Game Masters ---

2.1 Make yourself familiar with this Thread
2.2 You are obliged to follow any GM orders and directions you receive. You are not allowed to question them or disobey them, no matter the circumstance.  If you feel that you have been treated unfairly or that the GM was not acting within his professional obligations or responsibilities please contact a Head GM .
2.3 Do not ask GMs for free stuff:
Items, levels, gold; benefits over other players; or anything else that may violate the server policies.

2.4 When asking for help, using “please” and “thank you”, tends to provide better results than saying 'Yo gm teleport me the hell outta here.'

2.5 Events are designed to be fun. Do not complain when you lose.

2.6 Hear of someone planning to do something stupid? Tell a GM ASAP and they will solve the problem.

2.7 Arguments and discussions about any of the RTK staff member’s job and activities, made openly in public, whether it is in our servers or in this forum is by far not allowed.

3 --- PvP ---

3.1 Using items, spells, etc. given to you by hackers is illegal and will be punished.

3.2 Do not complain about being killed by someone

3.3 PVP situations are not Life vs. Death situations. Be friendly.

3.4 Corpse Camping, Ganking, and other not-that-honorable behavior as despicable as it may be is still allowed due to the PvP nature of the server.
3.5 Logging out of the server, exiting the game, or using a instance during a PvP fight is severely demoralizing and frustrating to anyone playing this server, including to our some of our best and most loyal players. We shall not allow the server integrity to be put in jeopardy by some "smart" kids ready to spoil everyone's game in order to save some honor points.

3.6 Multiboxing is forbidden. Multi-boxing in any environments is strictly forbidden. This is being logged into multiple accounts and utilizing and third party software that allows you to control multiple toons as the same time and/ or multiple toons by a single keystroke.  Keyclone or any like software is scritly prohibited.

3.7 Multilog or Multilogging is forbidden in Arena / BGs / PvP. Multilogging in these environments is strictly forbidden. This is defined as being logged into multiple accounts at any one time without the the use of 3rd party software and/or ability to control multiple toons by the same keystrokes or simultaneously.  Multilog is otherwise permitted in any PvE or non-PvP environment. 
       

4 --- Events ---

4.1 Do not complain about an event, participating in an event is a privilege, not a right. GMs will usually be busy and you complaining will only waste their time. Should you feel that there has been a signifcant error; whisper the GM once and wait for a reply (DO NOT spam a GM) and the GM will get back to you.

4.2 Unless it is a PvP event, PvP in a PvE event environment is forbidden. You will receive a warning at first, followed by a kick; consequently a 24 hour account suspension. Other players have a right to participate in events, killing them is removing that right from them; which isn't your decision to make.

4.3 GMs are in-charge of events; they decide who joins; who leaves and the rewards. Decisions are final. (4.1 applies).

4.4 Multiboxing an event is strictly prohibited (3.6 applies)

4.5 Multilogging an event is allowed granted that the GM permits it. (3.7 applies)





Not knowing these rules can not serve as an excuse to violate them nor will save you any punishments should you do break any of them.
